Dane is a creator who thrives within the arts and community sectors. Combining intuition, aesthetics and a deep understanding of his markets with solid operating methods Dane delivers results that flourish in close partnership with his clients.
Project Management
- Described as a pioneer not a settler, my project management abilities stem from the desire to form a team, deliver great projects and leave a strong legacy. Specialising in the Arts and Community sectors, projects are my passion and there is no greater reward than a well designed project that delivers its benchmarks and leaves momentum with room to grow.
Projects:
- Amplified 2009 - Project Coordinator Amplified is Arts Tasmania's annual contemporary music program designed to provide opportunity, education and recognition for the sector. During my tenure in '09 Amplified jumped forward from a previous attendance level of 1200 to 3800 across 15 events featuring 96 bands, 15 workshops with 28 guest speakers amidst much much more.
- Maranoa Heights Community Centre - Coordinator
The MHCC is a Community Centre in Kingston Tasmania. Established to provide education, fitness, social and
child care services with an internet cafe and various counselling services, the MHCC operates as a hub for the community.
I undertook a two year contract to assist the centre to attain a higher level of functionality.
From a fixed pattern program I assisted the Centre to open up its activities to deliver concurrent and over-lapping services, expanding into night-time operations and providing a holistic program of services relevant to all members of the community. - Falls Festival Field Stage & Funk n Soul Revue
The Falls Festival - Marion Bay is an iconic music and arts festival on the Tasmanian landscape. As a part of their ever expanding festivities
the Falls Festival in '08 expanded its entertainment into a third night on the 29/12 called the Funk n Soul Revue.
As project manager I delivered the planning, communication, technical support and team management for this event which reached capacity of 5000 on the night.
This production and team was then carried over to the Falls Fest. Field Stage - the 2nd major entertainment stage of the festival which I managed for the duration of the event coordinating multiple teams of staff, 24 touring bands and all aspects of that section of the festival.

Promotions / Publicity
- My work in these fields has been mostly directly associated with the events that I manage. I have served as promoter and publicist for the Hobart Fringe Festival '05 and now have a small promotion team available as either a separate or an integrated component for events and projects.

Booking Services
I work across both directions as a booking agent; as a venue agent and as an artist agent.

Venues:
I'm currently the agent for Irish Murphy's The Greenhouse - the original music component of Irish Murphy's Hobart running four nights a week. I book 12 acts a week across many genres. I also work for The Republic Bar and The Brisbane Hotel as an itinerant agent for special shows and several other venues for special events. -
Artists:
I have worked as the sole agent for The Scientists of Modern Music and currently work for Enola Fall and the New Saxons for Tasmanian and Australian show bookings.
Party DJ Services
- It's remarkably difficult to find a turn-tablist DJ in Tasmania who can sit in-between 'DJ Clubhouse' and 'Bryan's Mobile Disco'. My party DJ services exist to fill the gap between the Chicken Dance and pounding club music with great feel-good tunes.
- With DJ Kashishi and Wax Dr. West currently on the books my DJ service rocks the party and works for specific generations or cross-generational parties.
- Able to take the widest range of requests from an immense library of tunes, my party DJ services are ideal for weddings, school reunions christmas functions and birthday parties amongst many other things.
